Kozjanski Park is located on the area of 5 municipalities and 17 settlement communities. The municipalities within the Park are:

Bistrica ob Sotli (100 % of its area within the Park)

Brežice (21 % of its area within the Park)

Kozje (89 % of its area within the Park)

Krško (2 % of its area within the Park)

Podčetrtek (51 % of its area within the Park)

On the regional level, most of the Park’s area belongs to the Savinjska region (69 %) and the rest belongs to the Posavje region (31 %).
