In December 2002, Kozjanski Park  started a project Forming Sustainable Tourism Products and Services in Kozjansko in frame of the national program Phare 2000 – economic and social cohesion, supported by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. The program was concluded in 2003.

The main aim of our program was to qualify the educated young generation from Kozjansko for taking the leading roles in the new process of development of public, business and non-governmental sector. By creating a positive atmosphere we tried to inhibit the »brain drain« process in the area of Kozjansko.

The target groups that took part in the project consisted of students and unemployed people (secondary school or university graduates) up to the age of 30. We organised workshops, seminars, lectures, excursions and also the actual projects, all in the frame of educational modules.

The following project were organised during the program:

2. Creating tourist offer within the existing cultural and natural heritage of Via Historica
3. Kozjansko Apple
4. Eco village
5. Forming of regional products, marketing and promotion, interactive web site
