Via Historica is a path of natural and cultural heritage that takes us from the Savinja in Rimske Toplice along the valleys of the Gračnica  and the Bistrica to the Sotla  in Zelenjak. The project area presents Kozjansko in its broadest meaning, namely the area between the Savinja, the Sotla  and the Sava.

The basic path with particular divisions connects all essential natural heritage, cultural heritage, tourist facilities and places within the protected area of Kozjanski Park. Numerous high-quality natural, cultural and human resources that occur along the path have created unique opportunities for a complete line of tourist offer that will go through the entire Kozjansko region.

Our main aim is to offer a complete product. Natural sights and buildings of cultural heritage should be transformed into the holders of tourist offer. The complete product would consist of individual products that are linked together in terms of infrastructure, organisation, promotion and marketing. We need to join public, business and individual interests. The path symbolizes the connection among the municipalities, tourist areas and also our neighbour country Croatia.

Project realisation would bring along new job opportunities that are necessary for the revitalisation of some parts and settlements that have recently been stagnating or even declining in their economical and socio-geographical development.
