This year marked the 26th edition of the Kozjansko Apple Festival, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. An exceptional number of visitors gathered in Podsreda — although exact figures are difficult to determine, estimates from the organisers indicate that more than 25,000 visitors attended. “Jabka,” as locals affectionately call the festival, has grown into one of the largest and most recognisable eco-oriented fairs in Slovenia and beyond.
The festivities began on 5 October and reached their peak during the main festival weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, 11 and 12 October 2025.
The Kozjansko apple remains a powerful symbol of the bond between nature, people, and tradition. This year’s programme was exceptionally rich: visitors enjoyed the lively fair atmosphere, cultural performances, children’s workshops, and numerous culinary experiences highlighting the importance of local, healthy, and nature-friendly food.
