Geological trail to Rudnica and Olimje
The route of the geological trail passes in the vicinity of Olimje, in the northern part of the protected area of Kozjansko Park. The diversity of the geological structure of the surrounding area is suitable for presenting the entire geological development and geological structure of Kozjansko. The trail passes through 21 points, where you can observe different rocks, and geological and geomorphological phenomena. The trail starts at the abandoned iron ore mine in Slake, then continues along forest paths and village trails past the Witch Cottage and the monastery in Olimje.
There are beautiful viewpoints along the way, from which you can see most of Kozjansko Park.
The trail is suitable for walkers of average physical ability and families.
