KOZJANSKO REGIONAL PARK

An important task of the biosphere area operator is to promote research and education at all levels.

The aim of the network of schools was to engage primary school pupils in the early stages of their institutional education to learn about and explore parts of their home environment that they do not learn about in the classroom. The network of schools was established in 2012 and includes six schools within the biosphere area. Inclusive, dynamic, and results-oriented cooperation within the MAB Programme contributes significantly to the continued sustainable development of the biosphere area.

We offer pupils and their mentors a variety of research topics in the field of nature conservation and cultural heritage. The research part takes place in the field, usually in the school district, followed by the interpretation of the findings and research in the field. The presentation of the research assignments is collaborative, with students sharing their impressions, methods, and conclusions while getting to know each other.
